Hectograph pencils are soft-tipped pencils.  Sharpen with an eyeliner sharpener or a knife.

Place tracing paper over the design you wish to transfer and trace with the hectograph pencil.  (Remember that images are reversed when transferred.)

Wet the skin with alcohol.

Press the transfer face down onto the skin.

Peel off transfer and apply henna (or body glue) to outlines.
